Career Qualifier's Nine Dimensions of Quality

Nine Dimensions of Quality™

Career Qualifier's patented solution merges traditional measurements of job requirements with company culture and behavioral components. Each category is examined by the matching algorithms in the consideration of determining each candidate's fit to a position. Employers also may individually adjust each position's matching algorithm to emphasize or de-emphasize one or more categories in the total consideration.

  • Behavioral Assessment - this key unique category of Career Qualifier measures each candidate and each position in five behavioral attributes, in order to identify a good match between candidate and position (link to Behavioral Attribute Assessment page)
  • Custom Questions - employers may add their own company- or position-specific questions, providing them with a choice of answers that can be matched and ranked
  • Skills - learned skills, ranging from very general to very specific, including level of proficiency
  • Experience - the employment experience of a candidate, including duration, function, industry, and responsibility level
  • Company Culture - identifies tangible and intangible qualities of the position and their impact on the candidate's work
  • Location - considers applicant job location preferences down to county level
  • Certifications - certificates of training and expertise
  • Education - the educational background, including degree and subject
  • Compensation - includes monetary compensation, as well as consideration of benefits

Matching and Ranking

Career Qualifier's process considers the Nine Dimensions of Quality™ in two distinct steps. First, all applicants to a position are considered with respect to their requirements of a position, and the position's requirements of an applicant. This matching algorithm will remove any applicants from the list where the individual requirements do not match. The second step of the process then takes the matched list of candidates and ranks them in each requirement of each category. The aggregate ranking, weighted by each category's emphasis for that position, determines the final ranked list of applicants for the position that will be provided to the employer.

Employer Requirements Designation

Career Qualifier allows the employer to specify for each position which applicant attributes, if any, are absolute requirements. For example, the employer may set a minimum requirement of 5 years of experience in a particular industry, or a minimum level of proficiency in a specific skill. Candidates who fail to meet those matching requirements are not included in the final ranking algorithm.

Applicant Requirements Designation

Career Qualifier allows the applicant to specify her own absolute requirements for a position. For example, the applicant may set a minimum compensation of $50,000, a specific location, or that the position make use of a specific skill. Candidates will not be included in the final ranking algorithm of any position that fails to meet their requirements.
